Fontecorniale is a small village in the municipality of Montefelcino, located at about 450 meters above sea level and partially surrounded by defensive walls.

Until the fifteenth century the town was called "Fronde Corgnali" and only later it was called "Fonte Corgnale” .

Very striking are the churches of “San Michele Arcangelo”, a small church located directly below the walls characterized by beautifuls frescoes of  the XV century, and the church of “S. Barbara”, situated in a large square from which starts the road that leads to the castle and that also connects the neighboring countries of Monteguiduccio and Mombaroccio.

Fontecorniale, as the other villages of Le Marche region, is called the "balcony", because of the beautiful panorama that can be enjoyed of the hinterland of the region from the beautiful Marche villas.
